EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
FMNYC - Tell us about a modeling challenge that you experienced.
SUELYN MEDEIROS - Over the years I have experienced countless challenges. Thankfully I have overcame them all. Dealing with jealousy and haters initially was very difficult for me. I was 19 when I started modeling. It made me sad when people would say mean things about me or make up lies and rumors for no reason. I didn’t understand why. Then I realized haters are actually “Secret Admirer’s”. Now, I simply ignore them, block them or just laugh about it.
FMNYC - What is your greatest weakness, as a Influencer? What are you doing to improve on it?
SUELYN MEDEIROS - My weakness is being too kind. I’m such a giver. I truly appreciate all the love and support that my fans and supporters give me. I feel the least I can do is respond and show my love back. But this can be very time consuming with my schedule. When I respond to one I feel it’s only fair to respond to all and it’s never ending at times. Lol. My DMS do get overwhelming at times. But I do my best to respond. I’m so sorry if I forget anyone. I will try to do better. I love all my fans and supporters equally. I hope they know and feel my love always.
FMNYC - What is your best achievement in your career?
SUELYN MEDEIROS - My best achievement in my career and life is being better today than I was yesterday. Learning from my mistakes and not repeating them again. I always strive to be better at everything I am and do in life. Including my career.
FMNYC - Many people think modeling is just about style and makeup. What’s your take on this?
SUELYN MEDEIROS - Modeling is about being uniquely YOU. Representing yourself or a Brand at your best capability. That’s my take.
FMNYC - Who inspire you on the industry and why?
SUELYN MEDEIROS - Every one at the TOP inspires me. It takes a lot to get to the top and stay there. The industry like anything in life is every changing and evolving. You have to keep evolving also to keep climbing and setting new higher goals.
FMNYC - How do you balance your time as a Influencer and modeling?
SUELYN MEDEIROS - Aside from modeling, I wear many hats. I’m a wife, a mother, a designer, a writer, and back in school with the plan to graduate next year. I’ve been working in a new job/field for three years that has always been a dream of mine. When I’m ready I will share this part of my life with the world. Perhaps once I graduate. I am very excited about the new chapters and achievements in my life.
FMNYC - Which of your projects are you most proud of? Why?
SUELYN MEDEIROS - I would say the one I’ve been working hard on right now. All the hours of studying and training. I’m very proud of myself and love it so much.
FMNYC - What is your personal style?
SUELYN MEDEIROS - I have many styles. I know how to dress for every occasion appropriately. But in general I would say my style is a mix of Sexy Classy, fashionable, seductive with a hint of mystery.
FMNYC - Describe your perfect day off when you are not working at all.
SUELYN MEDEIROS - A day at a beautiful secluded beach, clear blue waters white sand. Feeling like a mermaid and I’m taking all the sunshine I can handle. Preferably tanning in the nude lol

THE ART OF BEING A MODEL AND INFLUENCER
Introduction
The modeling and influencer industry has become increasingly competitive, and landing an interview can be a daunting task. This presentation will provide tips and strategies for acing your interview and standing out from the crowd.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, these insights will help you prepare for any interview and give you the confidence to showcase your unique talents.
Research the Company
Before your interview, it's important to do your homework on the company you're interviewing with. Look at their social media pages, website, and any recent press releases to get a sense of their brand and values.
This research will not only help you understand the company better but will also allow you to tailor your responses to align with their mission and vision.
Dress to Impress
First impressions are everything, so make sure you dress appropriately for the interview. Research the company's dress code and aim to dress one level above that.
Choose clothing that flatters your body type and showcases your personal style while still being professional. Remember, your outfit should enhance your overall presentation, not detract from it.
Showcase Your Personality
While your looks and experience are important, it's equally important to showcase your personality during the interview. Be friendly, personable, and engaging.
Make eye contact, smile, and be enthusiastic about the opportunity. Show the interviewer why you're not just a pretty face, but also someone they would want to work with and represent their brand.
Highlight Your Unique Talents
What sets you apart from other models and influencers? Is it your unique look, special skills, or creative vision? Whatever it is, make sure to highlight it during the interview.
Use specific examples and anecdotes to illustrate your strengths and how they can benefit the company. The more you can differentiate yourself from the competition, the better chance you have of landing the gig.
Follow Up After the Interview
After the interview, send a thank-you email to the interviewer expressing your gratitude for the opportunity. This simple gesture shows that you're interested in the position and willing to go the extra mile.
If you haven't heard back after a week or two, follow up with a polite email or phone call to inquire about the status of your application. This shows that you're proactive and genuinely interested in the position.
