1 MD - Gardenia are you born in Alagoas, when and how was your move to Rio de Janeiro?
GC - I was born in the Sertão de Alagoas, at the age of 5 I moved to Paulo Afonso - Ba. I grew up there, land of waterfalls and hydroelectric power plants on the São Francisco River. When I lost my parents and at the loss of them, our financial situation was not good. After I grew up I moved to Recife, there I made my professional life and lived for almost 16 years. I met my husband at an event and after we got married and the birth of our son I moved to RJ. Here, I started my whole professional history again. Start over, new city, new directions, incidentally, I'm a specialist in start over .
2 MD - How was your training in communication and how did the first professional opportunity in the area arise?
GC - I was an executive for many years, I managed two multinationals in the cosmetics sector. It served the entire North and Northeast. I studied MKT, studied ADM, I always had a streak towards art, I did theater, I have DRT, I am an actress by training but I did not seek to act. Today, too, journalist, I love communication. It is part of my life.
3 MD - Tell us a little about your trajectory at TV?
GC - I worked in the cosmetics sector and gave several interviews to local televisions. As I was very young and in a prominent position, in addition to my experience in the beauty sector, I was invited to present a local program and that was the beginning of a passion for television. I was a pioneer in the state of Pernambuco with a female beauty program. 18 years ago, at the beginning, I gave beauty tips and tutorials ... That's how my career on television started.
4 MD - In this moment of pandemic, your program “Band Mulher” went off the air and came back now with another name “Come with The People “, how did it happen?
GC - I had covid in April, I suffered a lot with the symptoms. We decided that we would repeat until things got better. I think we all thought it would be over soon! I had sequels and today I'm fine! At the time we chose to take the air, I needed to rest. Then with the arrival of the new general director of the band, Claudio Giordani, it was decided that we would make a program for the family, he loved making the band a woman, however, I agreed with the vision he had, something more comprehensive, without gender. We came back with the summer season at the Fairmont Rio hotel and it was a success, we innovated in the middle of a pandemic, we believe and once again started again, remember what I said at the beginning of the interview.
5 MD - You were invited by Father Omar, rector of “Cristo Rendentor” in Rio to be the godmother of the monument, how do you feel with this title?
GC - Honored, a great responsibility and a wonderful gift! 7 MD - How do you reconcile and manage so many activities daily, between being a businesswoman, presenter, digital influencer, godmother of Christ the Redeemer, mother, wife?
GC - Sometimes I need a paused day lol. Reloading. But like all women we are kind of “octopuses” rs several tentacles embracing everything! I charge myself too much, I think we have impregnated some demands that come from a social structure that they put us on. Are we responsible for everything? Not always ! But we can handle it! I love being a mother, I never imagined going through this land without having my son, I always knew it would be Miguel. We are reconciling and doing it one day at a time! Sometimes more agitated, other times needing this break, putting "order" because I'm angry ok? Following my journey, life is made of choices, this is my path and I want to leave a beautiful written history!
8 MD - Have you always been attached to animals, do you dedicate yourself to horse breeding or is it just a hobby?
GC - I was born in the countryside, I come from a family of farmers, my father is passionate about horses. He created a quarter mile and after his death I lost touch with the world of those in love with this animal that I love! I married a man who, too, loves horses and it worked! We created by passion, however, we have a business, we are the number 1 stud in the pampa coat. In addition to horses, I am passionate about nature, animals.
9 MD - What does it take to conquer Gardenia Cavalcanti? GC - Be real, without artifice!
10 MD - What do you like to do when you are not in front of the spotlight?
GC - I like to do nothing every now and then, I love being quiet and watching movies. My home, my refuge.
11 MD - What other projects are you currently involved in?
GC - Christ's social projects, we have a lot of news coming up! In addition to presenting the program and participating in every detail, from the mirrors to giving an opinion on the final fittings. I subscribe to a column in the newspaper O dia, DMulher, in addition to playing the special projects of the program, now stopped due to the pandemic and we have very good things to happen! Wait .
12 MD - Tell us a little about what the event of 90 years of Christ the Redeemer will be like, can you say anything already?
GC - The Cristo Redentor Sanctuary begins the celebrations with vacancies for volunteers for a major environmental action that will be held on World Environment Day, June 5, General Day. They are the ecolíderes, who will be ahead of a day of cleaning effort throughout the city of Rio de Janeiro. General Day is one of the events that are part of the 90th anniversary celebrations. The name was chosen due to the popular expression “give a general”, widely used by Cariocas to refer to cleaning. The date will aim to raise awareness among the population and demonstrate the possibility of Sustainable Development, uniting society, the environment and the economy; reinforce the importance of the Circular Economy and the use of recyclable material already produced, as raw material; sensitize event participants to current levels of pollution; work towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, created by the UN, demonstrating the importance of our actions for the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda; and build an event that will leave a legacy of environmental education for the history of the city of Rio de Janeiro. We will have a great social action following all safety protocols to serve the needy population. with a special menu and gastronomic experience, which will have income reverted to social projects. The word is empathy, love and spreading a positive current so that it "shines" in the universe.

Gardênia é destas mulheres que influencia outras mulheres com sua mensagem de vida, sua história de garra e com um olhar atento ao outro. Aqui na Fashion Magazine NY, ela conta um pouco da sua trajetória. Confiram !
1-Gardenia você é nascida no Alagoas, quando e como foi sua mudança pra o Rio de Janeiro ?
GC - Nasci no Sertão de Alagoas, aos 5 anos mudei para Paulo Afonso - Ba . Cresci lá, terra das cachoeiras e usinas hidroelétricas do Rio São Francisco. Quando perdi meus pais e com perda deles a nossa situação financeira não ficou boa. Após a maior idade mudei para Recife, lá fiz minha vida profissional e morei por quase 16 anos. Conheci meu esposo em um evento e após casarmos e o nascimento do nosso filho mudei para RJ . Aqui , comecei toda minha história profissional novamente. Recomeço, cidade nova, novos rumos, aliás, sou especialista em recomeços rs
2-Como foi sua formação na comunicação e como surgiu a primeira oportunidade profissional na área ?
GC - Fui executiva por muitos anos, gestei duas multinacionais no setor de cosméticos. Atendia todo o Norte e Nordeste.
Estudei MKT , cursei ADM , sempre tive uma veia voltada para arte , fiz teatro , tenho DRT, sou atriz de formação mas não busquei atuar. Hoje, também, jornalista, amo a comunicação. Faz parte da minha vida.
3- Conte um pouco da sua trajetória na TV
GC - Atuava no setor de cosméticos e dei várias entrevistas para televisões locais. Por ser muito jovem e ocupar um cargo de destaque, além da experiência no setor de beleza, fui convidada para apresentar um programa local e assim foi o início de uma paixão pela televisão. Fui pioneira no Estado de Pernambuco com um programa de beleza feminina. Há 18 anos, no início, dava dicas e tutoriais de beleza... Assim começou minha trajetória na televisão.
4- Neste momento de pandemia seu programa “Band Mulher “chegou a sair do ar e voltou agora com outro nome “Vem com
A Gente “, como foi que aconteceu ?
GC - Tive covid em abril, sofri muito com os sintomas. Definimos que reprisaríamos até as coisas melhorarem. Acho que todos nós pensamos que ia passar logo!
Fiquei com sequelas e hoje estou bem!
Na época optamos por tirar do ar, eu precisava descansar . Em seguida com a chegada do novo diretor geral da band, Claudio Giordani, foi resolvido que faríamos um programa para a família, amava fazer o Band mulher, porém, concordei com a visão que ele teve , algo mais abrangente, sem gênero. Voltamos com a temporada verão no hotel Fairmont Rio e foi um sucesso, inovamos em plena pandemia, acreditamos e mais uma vez recomecei, lembram o que falei no início da entrevista ?
5- Você foi convidada pelo Padre Omar reitor do “Cristo Rendentor” no Rio pra ser a madrinha do monumento, como se sente com este título?
GC - Honrada, uma grande responsabilidade e um presente maravilhoso! O Cristo o nosso cartão postal , uma das sete maravilhas do mundo e muita gente não imagina a quantidade de ações sociais que são realizadas para ajudar aqueles que precisam, são mais de 15 ações, para mulheres em situação de vulnerabilidade, crianças e durante a pandemia o projeto em parceria com a tarde de Maria chegou a marca de 2,5 milhões de pães distribuídos. Então, participar ativamente e ter o título de madrinha é muito especial. Sou apaixonada por Jesus e tudo que for para honra Dele ajudando com amor, tempo, propagando, buscando multiplicadores do bem será um bálsamo para o meu coração.

6- Você sempre foi uma mulher que representa a imagem “ Família”, como é ser a porta voz desta instituição que vai muito além de uma estátua?
GC - De certa forma a madrinha tem a função de acompanhar e confirma atos solenes, testemunha. Vivo na prática com a equipe e eventos que apresento constantemente no Cristo o quão as ações abençoam tantas vidas. Tenho que levar uma mensagem de amor e propagar o que fazemos pelo próximo. Padre Omar é incansável nessa luta pelos menos favorecidos.Para alguns a equipe do Cristo é a sua família e base, independente da formação. Família é sinômino de amor, e Jesus o próprio amor.
7- Como você concilia e administra tantas atividades diariamente ,entre ser empresária, apresentadora, digital influencer, madrinha do Cristo Redentor, mãe , esposa?
GC - As vezes preciso de um dia pausada rs. Recarregando. Mas como todas as mulheres somos meio “polvos” rs vários tentáculos abraçando tudo! Me cobro demais, acho que temos impregnado algumas cobranças que vem de uma estrutura social que nos colocaram. Somos nós as responsáveis por tudo? Nem sempre ! Mas damos conta!
Amo ser mãe, não me imaginava passar por essa terra sem ter meu filho, sempre soube que seria o Miguel. Vamos conciliando e fazendo um dia por vez! As vezes mais agitada, outras vezes precisando dessa pausa, colocando “ordem” porque sou brava tá? Seguindo minha caminhada, a vida é feita de escolhas, esse o meu caminho e quero deixar uma linda história escrita!
8- Você sempre foi ligada a animais, você se dedica a criação de cavalos ou é só um hobby?
GC - Nasci no interior, venho de uma família de fazendeiros,meu pai um apaixonado por cavalos. Criava quarto de milha e após sua morte eu perdi o contato com o mundo dos apaixonados por esse bicho que eu amo!
Casei com um homem que, também, ama cavalos e deu super certo!Criamos pela paixão, porém, temos um negócio, somos o haras número 1 da pelagem pampa.
Além dos cavalos, sou uma apaixonada pela natureza, animais.
9- O que é preciso pra conquistar Gardenia Cavalcanti ?
GC - Ser de verdade, sem artifícios!
10- O que você gosta de fazer quando não está na frente dos holofotes ?
GC - Gosto de fazer nada vez em quando, adoro ficar quieta e ver filmes. Minha casa, meu refúgio.
11- Quais os outros projetos os quais você se envolve no momento ?
GC - Os projetos sociais do Cristo, temos muitas novidades vindo por aí! Além de apresentar o programa e participar de cada detalhe, desde os espelhos a opinar nos encaixes finais. Assino uma coluna no jornal O dia, DMulher, além de tocar os projetos especiais do programa, agora parados devido a pandemia e temos coisas muito boas para acontecer ! Aguardem .
12- Conte um pouco de como será o evento de 90 anos do Cristo Redentor, já pode adiantar alguma coisa ?
GC - O Santuário Cristo Redentor começa as comemorações com vagas para voluntários de uma grande ação ambiental que será realizada no Dia Mundial do Meio Ambiente, 5 de junho, o Dia da Geral. São os ecolíderes, que estarão a frente de um dia de mutirão de limpeza por toda a cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O Dia da Geral é um dos eventos que fazem parte das comemorações do aniversário de 90 Anos. O nome foi escolhido devido à expressão popular “dar uma geral”, bastante utilizada pelos cariocas para se referir à realização de uma limpeza. A data terá como objetivos conscientizar a população e demonstrar a possibilidade do Desenvolvimento Sustentável, unindo a sociedade, o meio ambiente e a economia; reforçar a importância da Economia Circular e do uso de material reciclável já produzido, como matéria-prima; sensibilizar os participantes do evento para os níveis atuais de poluição; trabalhar em prol dos 17 Objetivos para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável, criados pela ONU, demonstrando a importância de nossas ações para o cumprimento da Agenda 2030; e construir um evento que deixará um legado de educação ambiental para a história da cidade do Rio de Janeiro.Teremos uma grande ação social seguindo todos os protocolos de segurança para atender a população carente.Outro momento que será marcante nos 90 anos vai ser um jantar com um cardápio especial e experiência gastronômica, que terá renda revertida para os projetos sociais. A palavra é empatia, amor e espalhar uma corrente positiva para que “brilhe” no universo.
