MISS BRAZIL EARTH CARRIES THE BANNER OF THE FIGHT AGAIST ANIMAL EXTINCTION AND SUSTAINABILITY.

The former Miss Brazil, presenter and director of the Miss Brazil Contest Terra 2023 Flávia Cavalcante next to the current Miss Brasil Terra Jessica Pedroso, posed for our cover, in an exclusive rehearsal for FMNY.

The beauties wore a dress by Designers Maisa and Natália Gouveia, iconic in Brazilian haute couture.

The event will take place by second time in Brazil in São Paulo, at Teatro WTC ( Would Trade Center) at the Sheraton Hotel on May 1st. participation of more than 30 candidates, who will represent several states of Brazil, in a project that aims to promote the BEAUTY and talk about SUSTAINABILITY.

4 finalists will be chosen who will represent the following elements: EARTH, AIR, WATER and FIRE and all will receive cash prizes. The elected MISS BRASIL EARTH 2023 will represent Brazil in the 23rd edition of MISS EARTH, which will take place in Nha Trang, Vietnam and the big winner, should embrace the causes of the contest, promote the ecotourism, sustainability and socio-environmental attitudes. This year the contest has as one of its objectives, establish itself as the main beauty pageant in Brazil. This year's event will be televised by Rede TV! at the May 7th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. the award of this year's contest is amazing: 1st place — thirty thousand reais, 2nd place - twenty thousand reais, 3rd place - ten thousand reais and for 4th — place five thousand reais. besides all these awards, there is also a Special Award for Best Traditional Costume worth ten thousand reais. OK remember that Miss Brasil Terra is among the four biggest contests in Brazil, with awards in money.


Entrepreneur Marcelo Riformato, who is the CEO of franchise here in Brazil, says he has already been involved in various sponsorships, in the most diverse sectors, including charitable actions. “By being involved, already we were judges of countless contests, we were wanted to buy this franchise in Brazil. How did Jessica start her artistic career and how did she decide to apply for the Miss Brazil Earth? I've always had a very close contact with art since I was young. Started working as a model at the age of 10 in an agency of the my city, since then I have been enchanted by the world of fashion and theater embracing every opportunity and last year I received a opportunity to represent the state of São Paulo in the Miss Earth Brazil. I was very honored but I didn't imagine winning the contest, which surprised all my expectations leading me to a new journey of my life. Miss Brasil Terra carries the banner of the fight against animal extinction and sustainability, How do you see yourself engaged in this fight? I have a project called “Sementes do bem”, where I go to rural, public and private schools. peripheral areas to make children and adolescents aware of the importance we have to give to the environment. Through ludic activities and games we work on important topics such as sustainability, preservation of the environment and our fauna and flora. I believe not only as an educator but as Miss Brasil Terra 2022 that education is the only way to change the future, because through awareness and learning we can actually understand the actions of our acts and how this can reflect in the next generations. Even today we suffer from violence against women in your opinion is it possible that women detect this abusive man profile before getting involved with him? If yes, what are the signs? to be observed? Surely, from the moment someone stops your ideas, they question negatively dreams, is insanely jealous and doesn't respect his own freedom, is abusive and selfish. There is no perfect relationship, but look for someone who even before meeting you respects you as a person and values ​​your ideals.

Flavia, now that it is official, the Miss Brazil Earth contest will be broadcast on Rede TV, which the expectation for this new edition? The expectation is the best possible! After a few years, a Miss pageant once again has broadcast over a large TV network. We are committed to putting on a beautiful show for the our audience! Our goal is to rescue the glamor of beauty contests!! What were the biggest challenges you faced during your reign as Miss Brazil? The first challenge was moving from Fortaleza to São Paulo, a cosmopolitan city… I was very young, I was 18 years old, and without experience.

But I had the support of my family in the first years in the capital of São Paulo.

As I stayed two years with the title of Miss Brazil, I passed the belt in 1991 (it was the longest reign), I traveled a lot throughout Brazil and experienced unusual situations such as having the small plane that took us to work suffer a breakdown, but everything worked out, going to places far away from the country and very difficult access. However, I had the pleasure of visiting indigenous villages, visiting wonderful places of this beautiful and multicultural Brazil.
