Synopsis

The Pianist, Composer, Singer , Orchestra director, musical arranger and producer Yanela Brooks was born into a family of musicians.

Early Life

Yanela started her piano career at the Manuel Samuel´s Music Conservatory” when she was only 7 years old, and continued receiving her classical training at Cuba’s top musical academies. At 15 Yanela formed her first band called “Yanela y las chicas del sabor” performing in numerous prestigious events sharing the stage with top artists of Cuba like Pablo Milanés, and bands such as “Van Van”, “La Charanga Habanera”, “NG la Banda”, Manolito Simonet y Pablo Milanés and many more.

Early Career

Yanela was invited to perform in “Madrid” representing Latin music in Spain with “La Comercial Cubana” and “Sabor Havana” for 3 years. She was the protagonist of the Musical “Bolero” with Rafael Basurto leader of Los Panchos performing through all Spain and Europ. She was featured as actress and musical composer of the soundtrack by the film “Tú no eres nada” in the Spanish film “Tanger” alongside actors Antonio Resines, Ana Fernández and Jorge Perugorría among others.

Performance Highlights

In 2012 this Cuban diva participated on “The Voice” Spain’s version "La Voz" where her performance of “Proud Mary” (Tina Turner) became Tranding Topic, one of the most talked about thru out Europe. She has worked with producers like “Brian Cross, Alejandro Sanz. Her latest collaboration has been with Composer Peter Bostrom winner of Eurovision 2012 with his theme Euphoria, he composed her first single entitled “MONDAYS” a song that went to the top ten of iTunes and Spotify in just one day and number one in 40 principals Radio. Following this success producer and top artist Alejandro Sanz among 40 principals radio initiated her European tour as well as being invited by (Romeo Santos) to Spain’s top venues like “Las Ventas” Madrid and “Palau San Jordi” Barcelona.

MTV Latino, 40 TV, Kiss TV, Sun Music and Divinity Channel have singled out this song, which has already become one of the summer’s favorite videos. Notably Yanela has been selected to be part of the 40 National (Spain) Tour, traveling across geography in summer - autumn-winter 2013 and 2014.

On December 5, 2012 this Cuban artist was chosen to released and sing Spain's national anthem with lyrics by Jon Juaristi in front of more than 30,000 people located on Plaza de Colon (Madrid) the Spanish capital, at the Spanish constitutional day with the gobermemt and Royalty from Spain.

Yanela performed her second single, titled “MI GENTE ARRIBA” on Miami’s Telemundo program “A new day”, followed by appearances on

Univision, Mega TV (El show de Fernando, Happy hour), CNN, Program, Life, Showbiz) as well as top radio in the Usa.

Following up her two previous singles Yanela came out with her third hit single “HIGHER”, with lyrics and music composed by Yanela Brooks with collaboration from Thaddeus Jones who produced the song in Disney’s Gru villain movie.

With her versatile talents she has performed several times across the globe as well in front of European royalty and other international figures such as Producer “Quincy Jones”, Robert de Niro, “Maia Zwaroski”, “Chris Tucker”, companies like Dior, Lvhm, Bentley, Ferrari, Kempinski worldwide ( being its músical image during 3 years), Cheval Blanc worldwide, Nikki Beach Worldwide, releasing with THE YANELA BROOKS SHOW the first Hard rock Cafe in Georgia country (Tbilisi and Batumi).

Collaborating with top tv hosts like Jose Maria Garcia, Jesus Quintero, she distributed her first Television DVD, highlighting her top performances on Spanish TV. In addition, she has participated in various musicals like Aladin, Peter Pan among others.

Called like the disco diva of Costa del sol, she is the queen of the top parties in hotels companies like, Marbella Club, Puente Romano where Yanela delights us with Classical Soul, Disco, Rock and Latin Music. She recently composed the Spanish lyrics of Marbella Town.

Her new album "Boleros, Nostalgia y Algo Mas" released on July 2015 is the following album on her carreer as a composer, pianist, singer and arranger. The song "Vete" feat Jon Secada , "Cubanos por el mundo" feat the stars Buena vista social club group is one of the most important hit on her career as well.

The New musical Album with the very top artist form Cuba is her last project, acting across the world, Yanela is one of the most important artist of her time, creating the most important project form the last 10 years in Cuba, called YANELA BROOKS FEAT. TOP OF CUBA, where she is the composer of all songs, músical arranger, singer and pianist, one of the highest hit is with the Cuban National Sinphonic Orquestra, song “Y VOLAR”, available worldwide in digital platforms. Now she’s preparing for the american grammy awards with her recently músical album #TOPOFCUBA, with is already number one in Cuba and Cali ( Colombia).
